Front Desk Clerk

 Seasonal Position May - September

Brief Job Overview

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive on the property. Register guests with a confident friendly manner. Calculate guest charges and process payments. Answer the phone, take messages and reservations. Review arrivals noting special requests and blocking rooms or campsites as necessary for VIP and group arrivals. Guide customers to their room/camp site. Provide general information about the property and the services available in the local community. Assist with guests travel plans. Stock cooler and shelves with products for sale. Keep public areas clean and tidy. Handle and report lost and found items. Experience or willingness to assist with food preparation and clear up an asset. Assist with travellers calling in during the daytime.

­Requirements/Qualifications

Candidates must be flexible and fully committed to customer service and have the ability to communicate with people of all ages from a wide range of back grounds and nationalities.

Have high school diploma or equivalent.

Basic computer skills

Bilingual applicant as asset

Be willing and able to multi task. Be energetic, enthusiastic and self - motivated

Be able to adapt to work as part of a team or independently. 

Be comfortable in spending time alone in remote areas. Driver’s license an asset.

 Wages are negotiable dependent on experience. Must be will to be flexible with working hours, depending on demand.  Living accommodation included.

House Keeper

 Seasonal Position May - September

Brief Job Overview

Strip beds and towels from rooms and wall tents, and replace with clean items. Clean bathrooms. Replenish in room supplies. Dust ad remove marks from walls and furnishings. Vacuum rugs and wash floors and windows. Check that all appliances are functioning, and report any maintenance problems. Remove garbage & dirty laundry. Clean campground toilets and main lodge bathrooms. Experience or willingness to assist with food preparation and clear up an asset.

­Requirements/Qualifications

Candidates must be fully committed to customer service, and have attention to detail.

Must be able to negotiate stairs and carry work related equipment over uneven ground. Must be able to lift and carry loaded laundry baskets and garbage bags without assistance. The ability to reach overhead, bend, twist and kneel is essential.

Be willing and able to multi task as well as be energetic, enthusiastic and self - motivated

Be able to adapt to work as part of a team or independently.  Be comfortable in spending time alone    in remote areas. Proven ability in working safely, in managing risks, and working in accordance with standard safety procedures. Driver’s license an asset.

Maintenance/Grounds Person 

 Seasonal Position May - September

Brief Job Overview

Assisting customers with minor repairs

Performing basic general maintenance to the properties buildings

Ability to change oil and filters in generator an asset, but not essential

You will be responsible for maintaining beds of native plants, a wildlife pond, natural hedges, vegetable garden and grass cutting.      

 Duties will include the preparation, planting and maintenance of a productive raised bed vegetable garden and its subsequent care. 

Mowing of lawns and air strip with the use of a ride on mower.

Hedge pruning will be done with the assistance of power tools. 

 Ensuring that the property continues to be well maintained and manicured

Experience or willing to assist with front desk duties an asset, but not essential
